The new <strong>Booking Fees<\/strong> feature in <strong>Event Tickets<\/strong> allows you to automatically apply <strong>percentage-based<\/strong> or <strong>flat-rate fees<\/strong> to ticket purchases. This feature provides flexibility in how fees are structured, ensuring you can recover costs while maintaining clear and transparent pricing for attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-palette-8-background-color has-background\">\ud83d\udc4b Note: This feature currently only works with Tickets Commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Set Up Booking Fees<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In your WordPress dashboard, go to <strong>Tickets > Coupons &amp; Fees<\/strong> <strong>> Fees<\/strong>. Click on <strong>&#8220;Add New&#8221;<\/strong> to set up a custom fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"463\" src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Image-2025-04-27-at-2.42.14-PM-1024x463.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1965003\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Image-2025-04-27-at-2.42.14-PM-1024x463.png 1024w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Image-2025-04-27-at-2.42.14-PM-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Image-2025-04-27-at-2.42.14-PM-768x347.png 768w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Image-2025-04-27-at-2.42.14-PM-1536x694.png 1536w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Image-2025-04-27-at-2.42.14-PM.png 1675w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once there, you will be met with the following screen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"647\" src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-22-1024x647.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1964578\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-22-1024x647.png 1024w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-22-300x189.png 300w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-22-768x485.png 768w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image-22.png 1438w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fee Name <\/strong>&#8211; this is the name of the fee that will appear when creating tickets, and to customers when they purchase a ticket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fee Type <\/strong>&#8211; the type of fee.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Percentage Fee<\/strong> \u2013 A percentage of the ticket price. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flat-Rate Fee<\/strong> \u2013 A fixed amount applied per ticket<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Amount<\/strong> &#8211; the fee value, either as a <strong>percentage of the ticket price<\/strong> or a <strong>fixed flat rate per ticket<\/strong>, depending on the selected fee type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Status &#8211; <\/strong>determines whether the fee is <strong>Active<\/strong> (can be applied to tickets), <strong>Inactive<\/strong> (saved but not applied), or <strong>Draft<\/strong> (not yet finalized and not applied to any tickets).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apply Fee To<\/strong> &#8211; determines whether the fee is <strong>automatically applied to all tickets<\/strong> or needs to be <strong>manually added to specific tickets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-apply-booking-fees-to-events-and-tickets\">How to <strong><strong>Apply Booking Fees to Events and Tickets<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Booking Fees <\/strong>feature currently only works with Tickets Commerce, and does not yet support other ecommerce solutions like WooCommerce, so be sure to set up Tickets Commerce from <strong>Tickets > Settings > Payments<\/strong> in order to use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve created fees, go to <strong>Events &gt; Add New<\/strong> and create a new event.
