Perhaps it&#8217;s because that person is having difficulty registering. Maybe it&#8217;s someone who doesn&#8217;t need to go through the registration process at all. Whatever the reason, it&#8217;s totally possible to manually add or edit attendees directly from the WordPress admin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make sure you have at least Event Tickets 5.1+ and Event Tickets Plus 5.2+<\/strong> and we&#8217;ll walk through the process together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-locating-the-event\">Locating the event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add an attendee, first locate the event, page, or post that contains the ticket or RSVP form. Above the list is an &#8220;Add Attendee&#8221; button. Click that to add a person to the list. You can then provide the person&#8217;s details in a pop-up modal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-adding-an-attendee-to-an-rsvp\">Adding an attendee to an RSVP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are adding an attendee to an RSVP event, fill in the required fields (Name and Email Address).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/attendee-add.png\" alt=\"White modal over a dark opaque background with a heading that reads Add Attendee and has form fields for name and email, followed by a blue button that says Add Attendee.\" class=\"wp-image-1949113\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"color:#141827;background-color:var(--global-palette8)\"><p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:var(--global-palette8);color:inherit\">\ud83d\udc4b <strong>Heads up!<\/strong> &#8220;Going&#8221; is the only option supported by RSVPs when manually adding an attendee. &#8220;Can&#8217;t go&#8221; is not an available selection at this time even if it is enabled for the RSVP in question.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-adding-an-attendee-to-a-ticket\">Adding an attendee to a ticket<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Assigning an attendee to a ticket is similar to the RSVP. If you need to collect payment for the ticket, you will need to either complete the registration process for the attendee on your site or find other arrangements for exchanging money.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5\"]{font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5 mark.kt-highlight, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5\"] mark.kt-highlight{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;-webkit-box-decoration-break:clone;box-decoration-break:clone;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}<\/style>\n<h2 class=\"kt-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5 wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading1962645_e05a73-e5\">Adding an attendee to a seated ticket<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To assign a seat to an attendee, just follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, go to the Attendees tab and add the attendee there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, navigate to the Seats tab to locate the attendee you just added.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the &#8220;Assign Seat&#8221; option and choose a seat from the available options to assign it to the attendee.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-palette-8-background-color has-background\"><strong>\ud83d\udc4b Heads up!<\/strong>\u00a0Changing a seat assignment is done from the Seats tab. <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/using-seating-with-event-tickets\/#h-managing-attendees\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-handling-multiple-rsvps-and-tickets\">Handling multiple RSVPs and tickets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have both an RVSP and a ticket form on the same event, or you are adding an attendee to a ticketed event and that event has more than one type of ticket, you can select which one to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/attendee-add-select-ticket.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1949114\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Every RSVP and ticket associated with the event is displayed as an option.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-overbooking-an-event\">Overbooking an event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is absolutely possible to exceed the number of tickets or reservations for an event when manually registering an attendee to an event. Event Tickets will not prevent you from overselling but will provide a clear warning that you are about to exceed your inventory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/attendee-add-ticket-oversell.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1949119\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">You are able to continue adding an attendee, even if there are not enough tickets or reservations remaining.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-working-with-custom-registration-fields\">Working with custom registration fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are using Event Tickets Plus in addition to Event Tickets, and have created <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/collecting-attendee-information\/\">custom registration fields<\/a> for a ticket or reservation, then those options will be available when adding an attendee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/knowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/attendee-add-custom-fields.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1949121\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-editing-an-existing-attendee\">Editing an Existing Attendee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to edit an existing attendee&#8217;s ticket or RSVP, you can do so by hovering over the attendee&#8217;s ticket within the Attendee List. You may also select the Edit option for any attendee by using the right-side column in the Attendee List table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Editing an attendee will allow you to modify all fields including: Name, Email address, and any Attendee Registration Information you&#8217;ve created with your ticket or RSVP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-re-sending-ticket-emails\">Re-sending Ticket Emails<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our helpful email feature applies when manually adding and editing an attendee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any time you add a new attendee, that attendee will automatically receive a new ticket email, providing the details of your event as well as their actual ticket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you edit an existing attendee&#8217;s email address, you&#8217;ll see a checkbox option to re-send the ticket email to the new email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"color:#141827;background-color:var(--global-palette8)\"><p class=\"has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:var(--global-palette8);color:inherit\">\ud83d\udc4b <strong>Heads up!<\/strong> Any time you update an attendee&#8217;s email address, their previous QR code and Security code will no longer work \u2014 such as when checking the attendee into your event. A new QR code and Security code are generated for the new email address regardless if the email was re-sent.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve added a spam prevention feature. This feature prevents re-sending the attendee email more than two times, which you can increase via filtering as shown below:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-syntaxhighlighter-code \"><pre class=\"brush: php; title: ; notranslate\" title=\"\">\n\/**\n * Customize the maximum number of emails can be resent to an attendee.\n *\n * Return -1 to remove the limit entirely.\n *\n * @param int          $max_resend_limit The maximum number of emails can be resent to an attendee.
