{"id":1943925,"date":"2019-12-31T06:17:52","date_gmt":"2019-12-31T11:17:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/?post_type=tribe-knowledgebase&#038;p=1943925"},"modified":"2022-07-06T04:40:59","modified_gmt":"2022-07-06T08:40:59","slug":"what-is-a-shortcut-in-promoter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/what-is-a-shortcut-in-promoter\/","title":{"rendered":"What is a Shortcut?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/products\/promoter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Promoter<\/a>, you can create a <em>shortcut<\/em>, which is essentially a message template that you can use to quickly create emails to use over and over again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a shortcut, you can pre-define:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Subject Line and Message content<\/strong> &#8211; copy and <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/promoter-merge-tags\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">merge tags<\/a><\/li><li><strong>Default Audience<\/strong> &#8211; attendees of this event or attendees of all events<\/li><li><strong>Scheduling<\/strong> (optional) &#8211; decide when the message will get sent relative to the event&#8217;s date, start or end time<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, instead of having to manually create a message to send a reminder to attendees of an event 3 days before the event, you can use the &#8220;Event Reminder&#8221; shortcut instead.<br>In one click, you can have your reminder message ready to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get you started, we created a collection of 12 often-used default shortcuts.<br>But what if you don&#8217;t like our default shortcuts?
